A BARQUE BLOWN UP.
TERRIFIC EXPLOSION OF NAPTHA CREW ESCAPE WITH DIFFICULTY [UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. CAPETOWN, August 25. The barque Lyndhurst, naptha laden, took fire off Fishpoint. There was a terrific explosion, hut the crew escaped with difficulty. Those on. the steamer Clan MacLaren saw the flames 35 miles distant, and rescued the crew. The vessel’s hulk is dangerous to shinning. (Received August 27, 5 p.m.) CAPETOWN, August 26. A warship sank the Lyndhurst’s bulk, thus removing the danger to shipping.
