RESUMED BY ATTORNEYGENERAL. * LPEE PRESS ASSOCIATION..) WELLINGTON, August 30. The Council met at 2.30 p.m., when the Imprest Supply Bill (No. 2) passed all stages undiscussed. Sir John Findlay gave a resume o.i the subjects dealt with by •the Imperial Conference. He pointed to tlie danger of encouraging the view that the oversea dependencies were a loose collection of nations, that could at any time sever from the Mother Country. He also spoke of the necessity for some such body as suggested by Sir Joseph Ward to deal with Imperial matters, and dealt with. the Bevel proposals which were brought forward with the object of unifying the Empire. The Hon. J. E. Jenlcinson moved a resolution appreciative of the services rendered by the Premier and Sir John Findlay at the Conference. The debate was then adjourned, and the Council rose.
