It had been intended that the power should be tAA*o kiloAvats, but that had been extended to five, and that station Avould be poAverful enough to get into touch with West Australia at night time, Avliile in the day time communication could be carried on with ships Avithin a fcAv hundred miles of Sydney. It Avas contemplated too, that the system should be extended to Chatham Islands and Rarotonga, the latter place being connected Avitli Tonga. He hoped before long that a system of Avireless stations across the ocean between the Motherland and the oversea dominions AA Ould be perfected.
