LIBERALS BEING HARD PRESSED. [UNITED FRESS A SSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.} OTTAWA, Sept, 4. Mr. Borden, leader of the Opposition, is strenuously campaigning in the eastern provinces. He claims that Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s influence is vanishing. Sir Wilfrid Laurier has returned to Quebec from Ontario. He is ill, as the result of seasickness when going to Prince, Edward Island. Mr Perley, the Conservative Whip, has issued an official denial to a statement that the United States trusts are aiding the Conservative campaign with funds. Mr. Perley asserts that the report- is a trick of the Liberals, who are finding that the campaign is against them.
