The nominations for the two vacancies on the Borough Council caused by the resignation of the Mayor (Mr. W. D. Lysnar) and the election of Mr. W. Petti'e to that position, closed yesterday with Mr. H. M. Porter (Returning Officer). Seven were received, and they are as follows Alexander Henry Anderson/nominated by James F. Foster, W. H. Jeffs
and J. FI. Smith. John Willson Bright, nominated by John William Williams, Benjamin Hird, Thomas Corson, Wm. Morgan, Robert Robertson, and John FI. Ormond. David William Coleman, nominated by Mrs T. J. Jackson and Joseph
Spencer. John Sheridan, nominated by John Townley, Thos. Adair, Robert Talbot Seymour, Wm. John Cox, John Henry Ormond and Benjamin
Hird. lan Simson Simson, nominated by Wm. Webb, J. C. Nisbett, George Smith
and Arthur Sawyer. George Wildish, nominated by George Smith and John Maynard. Wong King, nominated by Wm. Porter and John Godfrey . The noil will take place on Wednesday next, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
