F.B. CRICKET ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association was held in the Britis Empire Hotel last evening. The annual 1 ' report for tlie 1910-11 season stated that a)though rather uneventful, the season had been characterised by a "ood deal of solid work to the benefit of the game. After reviewing the season and the prospects of bettering the wickets this year, the report stated that the Hawke’s Bay Assochirtiou had promised to send, a team to Gisborne early in the coming season. Touching on the matter of tlie attendance of delegates at the- meetings, the report went oni to state, that the Association took stops to call a meeting of all interested 'in sports clubs, at which a strong deputation was appointed' to interview the Borough Council: regarding the Guilders Road reserve, and there was little doubt that this had the effect of he Ini mg the Council to decide to push on tlie work. The balancesheet shewed' the Association to be in a fairly satisfactory position;. The thanks of the Association were due to the several gentlemen who generously made donations, and also to' Mrs. Parker for the use of a room for the weekly meetings, and to' Mr. W. Stuckey, who filled the position of honorary gatekeeper. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. W. F. Goffe, R. Caulton, G.. H. Bullard, A. C. Steele, E. M. Hutchinson, W. Oates, W. C. Emsor, E. Connolly, Judge Jones, Lieut.-Colonel Winter, Captain Ferris, Hon. Sir Jas. Carroll, Drs. Williams, Scott, and. Collins; secretary, Mr. James P. MoLisky; auditor, Mr. Harvey; treasurer, Mr. Walker. . A vote of thanks to outgoing officers and donors was passed. -
