UNREST AMONG WHITE WORKERS {.FEB PEERS ASSOCIATION.! AUCKLAND, Sept 7. Among the nassengers b-v the Atua from the Islands was Herr Emil Kia-use, who is Acting-Chief Justice in German Samoa during the Governor B absence. He states there has been trouble at Apia in consequence of the shortage of labor to work the plantations. lhe Chinese, through their Consul, demanded the same wages as raid to wrutes. This was resented by the latter, ana caused ill-feeling, but he thought the arrival of a transport with a Hesh supnlv of Chinese laborers shortly would ■relieve the situation. He expected a satisfactory settlement would be arrived at. -
