ENTERTAINMENTS.

PATHE PICTURES

The high merits of the various cinematograph films comprising the current programme at His Majesty’s Theatre was again responsible for attracting a large audience last evening, and each successive item was accorded a fun measure of applause. The many novelties included were much enjoyed, but perhaps the most successful was. the depicting “Motor Racing in America, in which the onlooker sees some of the fastest motor craft in the world flying •along at top speed. The dramatic star, “The Iriherited Taint,” furnishes a powerful example of the causes of wreckage of human life, and has an excellent plot. “On the Edge of the Desert” is a typically American romance of a sheriff’s hunt for a 9 es_ perado, and the final scene is thiuling. The scenic studies of Rome and Kioto are also fine pictures, while other good numbers in the series are Who filled John Dare,” “Oh, that Hat, A Village Flirt,” and “Tweedledum s Dream.” This, programme will be submitted for the last time this evening.
