AN ANGLING ACHIEVEMENT.

WORLD’S RECORD CASTING

Some wonderful performances were witnessed at the Highbury Angling Society’s tournament held at Farnham, Surrey, where Mr. J. T. Emery succeeded in breaking five world’s records for bait-casting.

The records set up by Mr. Emery were: 2-| oz 309 ft. Gin. Ifoz. 293 ft. li oz 266 ft. l" oz 253 ft. 4in. 1§ oz (distance and accuracy) 275 ft. 4in.

Mr. A. Piercy, the- hon. secretary of the Highbury Angling Society, in the light-float casting also made a world’s record of 116 ft. 4in.
