ENTERTAINMENTS.
PATHE PICTURES. The usual entire week-end change of programme will be presented by the management of the Pathe Pictures this evening, and the .series has am abundance of interesting subjects. The central attraction, is a drama entitled “Society and the Man,” produced by the Vita graph Co. The. drama, brings out very forcibly the two .facts that riches often ruin- the man and society the woman, and the easy manner in. which one is drawn into the greatest gambles conceivable- and the other into the vortex of bridge teaches a- trenchant . lesson 1 . The story of “Genevieve of Scotland’ 5 is adapted into a film of that title, and “The Customs Officer’s Dog” is a splendid example of animal sagacity. Many scenic items, including “Overland to Freemont” and “Dover Sights on the Nile,” also grace the selection, whilst the long list of comic subjects include “Leo Goes Skating” and “Florrie Goes to a Boarding School.”
