AN UNOFFICIAL “COMMISSIONER.” SIR W. HALL-JONES’ DENIAL. [UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, Sept. 14. Mr Holmes, New Zealand Trade Commissioner, has visited Ireland to arrange for shipments of New Zealand butter during the Irish shortage. He states that the trade has hitherto been hampered by Danish competition. He is now in England, interviewing importers of meat, kauri, tallow, wool, and grain. > ...... Sir William Hall-Jones states that Mr. John Holmes, who is busying himself with New Zealand produce markets is not officially connected with the New Zealand trade.
