NOTES FROM TAREWA. fI’HOM OUB OWN COREESI UNDENT.} On September 11th the ladies of Tarawa gave a most enjoyable dance, about 30 couples being present. The host of the evening was Air Milne, and the chaperons Mesdames Symmomte and Coop. Dancing was kept up till 3.30 a.m. The woolshed was most tastefully decorated', and an excellent supper was provided. Amongst those present were Mesdames Joblin, AlcAra, Aisbatie AlcPherson, and Misses Coop (Christchurch), Cogan (Christchurch), Wachsmaun (2), Richardson (2), Reynolds, Joblin, Swarhrick, McPherson., Howarth, Messrs Coop (2), Symmondis, Broderick, Turner, Joblin (2), AlcAra, McPherson, Aisjabie, Scott, Barrett, Austin, McKain, Reynolds (2), Richardson.
On the I3tlr. ipst. in lovely weather the Tarawa, cricketers opened the season on Air Sainsbury’s ground. Airs iSainsbury provided afternoon tea.
