THE GISBORNE CLUB

A committee meeting of the Gisborne Rowing 01-ub was held last evening, when there was a full attendance ai members. It was announced that Mr H. J. Grieve 'had 1 donated a medal for coxswains, the conditions to be left to the committee, and/ Air Grieve was thanked for liis donation. General discussions took place on matters connected with the management of the Club, and it was hoped, that all members would give assistance in getting the boats and staging in order. Messrs Coleman, McGonville and Bright were appointed a sub-committee to confer with the Poverty Bay Club re a fitting opening of the season. It was decided to open subscription lists to obtain funds to furnish the Committee Room), and also to erect a tramway for pleasure boats.
