A MUSICIAN WITHOUT A DIGIT
Mrs Reginald Waldorf, a, rich and pietty young Philaclepiiia widow and an accomplished pianist, is trying to make arrangements to buy a finger. She is willing to pay any-price Yvithin three figures, and may even go higher if necessary. • She had the misfortune ®° ine nionths ago to accidentally cut J the forefinger of her right hand on a rusty blade, blood poisoning set in and it had to be amputated. Without the digit she cannot command tile apnlause of an audience, arid she has determined to have it replaced. Her purpose is to find a young lady, poor and unselfish enough to sacrifice a finger for grafting purposes. Mrs Waldorf enlisted Dr. Fred. B. West in the cause and ho vvil-l endeavor to find a musical digit, a delicate, shapely white one, for the distressed artist. Mrs Waldorf has an alabaster cast of her missing finger, and wants one that will fit. Dr. West says he will get it if it takes a year and requires a house-to-house canvass from New York to Sam Francisco-.
