ENTERTAINMENTS.
PATHE PICTURES.
His Majesty’s Theatre was well filled last evening when the management of the Pathe Pictures introduced their usual mid-week change of -programme. The special attraction was a dramatic item entitled- “Opportunity and: the Man,” which unfolds a powerful story of the vicissitudes of fortune, and last evening’s audience at once acclaimed it a success.” “The Open Road” proved to be a lengthy drama of novel type, illustrating significantly the fascinations of Gipsy life, and- liow they triumph in the case of a young lady of high social position. “Knights of the Road” and “Rachel” were pleasing numbers. A clever satire on the methods of the modern suffragettes is contained in “The Senator and Suffragettes”, whilst “The Magnet” is an instructional subject of great value. Other novelties include the most recent Pathe Gazette, “Lea Skating,” “Crazy Gulch,” and “Florrie at a Boarding School.” The orchestra considerably enhanced the evening’s entertainment with their tasteful selections. The programme will be repeated this evening.
