AN OLD MAN’S SUICIDE.
HANGS HIMSELF FROM A TREE. I PEE VBESS ASSOCIATION .J CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 22. Mr IT. W. Bishop, District Coroner, hold an inquest at. Allandale this afternoon on Richard Edward Harris, €0 years of age. The evidence of the son of the deceased, was to the effect that the other members of the family missed the deceased after breakfast on Thursday morning and were unable to get any trace of him. Witness returned/ from Lyttelton on Thursday night, and yesterday, when he went to the paddock, he found his father hanging dead' from a tree at the back of a- shed. A verdict of suicide while in a state of unsound mind, was returned.
