CYCLING.

THE BRITANNIA CYCLE CLUB. The above club held, the road race to Ormond and back oni Thursday afternoon. Of 25 entrants no less than 23 faced the starter, the limit man leaving Grey Street corner at 2.30. By 2.45 all the competitors were away, and at 3.47 the first men were drawing near the finish. The order of finishing was as follows:—N. Ingram (Imin), 1; A. Wilkinson (lmin), 2; E. Torrie (3mm), 3 ; Gh Whitfield (6min), 4. Besides securing the first prize, N. Ingram secured thie fastest time prize, the time taken Hieing 1 hour 17 minutes 2 seconds. Thicms by no means a, fast ride, but had the weather been less boisterous no doubt, the time would have been much faster. The prizes were won as follows: First, N. Ingram; second, A. Wilkinson; third, E. Torrie; fust home (16 and under), W. Hedges; first home (18 and under), E. Tome ; fastest tunc N. Ingram. There was a, good cion cl at the*Grey Street corner to watch the finish, and they were rewarded by witnessing one of the best sprints tor the post that has been made for some constable time, Ingram winning from Wilkinson by a very short distance, and Torrie hard on Wilkinson s wheel, in fact, the three came past the post within three-fifths of a second.
