A Moroccan settlement is imminent. (Received Sept. 25, 1.5 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 24. It is officially announced that an agreement lias been reached in regard to Morocco, and that hut a few minor and 1 unessential points are outstanding. PARIS, Sept. 24. M. Do Selves’ reply has been despatched. It formulates certain conditions to prevent any misunderstandings during the transition period, preceding the complete establishment of French jurisdiction in Morocco. FIGHTING AT ME LI LLA. NATIVES ATTACK SPANISH ADVANCE POST. (Received Sept. 24, 5.5 p.m.) MADRID, Sept. 23. Taking advantage of a fog a band of natives crossed the river at Melilla and harassed a Spanish' advance post, but were repulsed, many of them being killed and wounded. The Spanish loss was eight killed, including one officer, and thirty-eight wounded.. ATTACK BY MOORISH BRIGANDS. REPULSED BY GERMANS AND NATIVES. BERLIN, Sept. 22. It is stated that Moorish brigands attacked Mannesman’s farm at Saffi, on the Marrakesh caravan road. Germans and native laborers repulsed the attackers. The Kolnisclie Zeitung alleges that the attack was the result of French intrigue. GOLD SCARE IN FRANCE. PAPER CIRCULATION NEARLY REACHES LIMIT. PARIS, Sept. 22. A gold scare prevails owing to the banks refusing to pay more than 16 per centum in gold. Some private banks are allowing three francs per thousand for gold payments which are sent to Germany. The increase in the bank rate is "partially due to the increase in the circulation of paper money, which has almost reached the legal limit.
