The Canterbury Shipping Co/s product steamer Breeze arrived from Napier and the South yesterday morning, bringing the following cargo:—From Dunedin: 150 sacks oats, 34 sacks rye-grass, 48 sacks chaff, 24 sacks potatoes, 35 200’s flour, 18 25’s wheatmeal. From Oamaru: 140 sacks flour, 280 50’s flour, 40 100’s flour, 20 sacks pollard, 56 sacks potatoes. From Timaru: 56 160’s bran, 416 sacks flour, 40 100’s flour, 120 50’s flour, 165 sacks oats, 4 pipes for Borough Council. From Lyttelton: 40 sacks flour, 976 50’s flour, 33 25’s flour, 45 100’s flour, 11 sacks bran, 10 sacks sharps, 261 sacks chaff, 80 sacks malt, 480 sacks cocksfoot, 88 sacks ryegrass, 149 sacks potatoes, 50 sacks oats. The Breeze returned South last evening. Messrs. Richardson and Co.’s Koutunui, from Auckland, via East Coast ports, arrived at this port yesterday morning, having been unable to work Tokomaru Bay on account of the heavy sea. She left for Auckland, via East Coast bays, last evening. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo was at Port Awanui yesterday, and is expected to reach Gisborne to-morrow.
