For the murder of a comrade two French sailors, named Lemarechal and Guegan were executed at I onion reeentfv. The object of the murder was •T-obberv. The elder of the two, Lemarechai, showed great callousness^, hut the vounger, Guegen, was in a state or partfar collapse. He kept .repeating, God, mv poor motuior! men attended Mass, and took 'breakfast with a glass or two of wine. liieir greatest dread was that they would 'be guillotined, but the recieved a military execution.
