CLEARING SALE OF STOCK. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale at 3lr Jas. Poynter’s. Huangarehu. Dairy cows in full profit were in keen demand, and brought from .£lO 6s. Backward cows were dull of sale. A nice line of 18-months heifers brought £5 Is, arid one choice Jersey heifer £9 6s. Dry ewes in forward condition 11s, Romney rams, 4 tooths, bred by 31r F. Hutchinson, Rissington, 21 guineas; Lincolns;, 1| guineas; Border Leicesters, 10s 6d. Breeding sows from 37s Gd to £2 18«; porkers 255; weaners Bs. Horses were dull of sale. One medium draugnt mare sold at £26; unbroken harness horses £lO to £lO ss; yearlings £4 10s to £6. TENDERS FOR MEAT AND CATTLE. CPER I’UZBB ASSOCIATION..! WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. Tenders are called for the supply of fresh meat and live cattle for Malta and Go/o, to close on 7th November, 1911. The form of tender, quoting all particulars, may be obtained on application to the Director of Commerce at the Tourists’ division of the Public Trust Buildings, Wellington.
