Major-General Godley, in a letter to Mr A. Boyle, which Mr Boyle quoted at the meeting on Thursday night when the Canterbury branch of the Sports Protection. League was formed, referred to' the requirements of the Defence Act with respect to the attendance of Territorials -at parades.
