Piano keys mad© from milk were exhibited at the Pianoforte and Music Trades Exhibition!, held recently at Islington. Ivory is being largely supplanted for making piano keys by galalith, which' is chemically prepared from milk. It is cheap, and, it is claimed, more pleasant to the touch than the very thin; layers of ivory so often used.'; Among 1 the novelties on show there were pianos with seven and a quarter octaves. The general public were not admitted' to tlior exhibition, which was purely, a trade undertaking. "You may take a horse to the water, but you cannot make him drink.” Offer your friend a drop of "Martell” and you will have no difficulty.* '
