Ullio vooricy U u IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS AT ' WAIHI. [.SPECIAL TO TIME3.J AUCKLAND, Oct. 7. Important developments, pointing to the permanency of the Waihi field, have taken place in the Waihi Grand Junction mine. The following cable, which has been despatched to the London office, explains the position : “No. 6 royal lode, No. 5 level: The reef in winze No. 9 crosscut shows 564 inches, value £3 9s 6d.” A lode 47ft wide, worth nearly £3 10s per ton, augurs well for the supply of payable crushing dirt in the future. QUOTATIONS IN CANTERBURY. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 7. Sales reported on the Stock Exchange of Canterbury to-day were : —Kaiapoi Woollen £5 10s, Kaiapoi Woollen (preference) £5 7s 6d, Napier Gas £9, ditto (paid) £22, N.Z. Paper Mills £1 9s.
