Order Paper, drawing the Native Minister’s attention to Mr. A. Keefer’s statement in reference. to his resignation, and asking whether lie does not think it desirable to place officers' holding judicial positions out .of the reach of interference, in. their judicial duties. It is understood that, in the event of Mr. Keefer leaving the service Judge Jones may be requested to fill the duties of President of the Taira.vhiti Land Board in the meantime.
