SHIPS OFFICERS’ DISPUTE.

BREEZE ARRIVES AT DUNEDIN. 0 (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Oct. 11. The steamer Breeze arrived from Bluff this morning. The officers informed a press representative that when they ascertained that the officers were leaving other vessels, they felt, in honor hound, to leave the Breeze. After the vessel had discharged at Bluff they asked to be paid off, but the Captain could not do so. They expected to receive instructions to leave the ship in Dunedin. Realising the difficulty of securing other officers the local agents got permission' from the Merchant Service Guild for the officers to remain on duty until reaching Lyttelton—the vessel’s home port. The Breeze sailed l at 5 p.m. for Timaru and Lyttelton.
