PERSONAL NOTES.

Mr Claude E. Webb arrives by the Mokoia to-morrow afternoon to complete arrangements for the appearance of Mr J. C. Williamson’s Dramatic Company in Gisborne. Mr H. B. Harris, of the Literary staff of the Hawke’s Bay Herald, has, telegraphs our correspondent, accepted the position of editor of the Wairoa Guardian. The Hon. Capt. Tucker, M.L.C., leaves for Wellington by the boat tomorrow evening. There died at Seaward Bush on Wednesday afternoon Mr John Stapleton, who Avas born in Tipperary in- 1811. It was mot until 1883, at the age of 72, that he decided to emigrate. The late Mr. Stapleton, Avho.se Avife predeceased him by 40 years, is survived by a son and daughter, and 14 grand children.
