PURSUANT to Section 8 of "The Local Bodies’ Loans Act. 1908,” notice is hereby given that the Waikohu County Council proposes to raise a Loan for the purpose of deviating a Road to Kanakanaia. The work to be undertaken is the construction of nine miles of Dray Road, the erection of three Bridges, and Metalling two miles of the new formation; the payment of compensation for land taken, and the fencing of the road line where necessary, lias also to he paid out of the Loan. The sum proposed to be borrower! is £9OOO. The annual charge for tins amount (plus 10 per cent) will be £482 12s 6d. For the purpose cf providing the annual charge, it is, proposed to levy a Special Rate of 4-oths of Id in the' £1 upon all Rateable Property included in the Special Rating Area, such rate to be a.it annual recurring rate during tin* currency of the Loan, being a period of 36 l years. Hennessy, Returning Officer for the East Coast Rabbit District, do hereby give notice that an Election will bo held for the return of FIVE persons, being duly registered Electors, -svithin the said district, as a Rabbit Board for the said district and that the latest day for receiving Nominations of Candidates will be before Noon on- MONDAY, the THIRTEENTH day of OCTOBER, 1911, and that, the Poll (if necessary) will be taken at the several Polling-places of the said district on MONDAY*, the 6th day of November, 1911.
