A NARROW ESCAPE. ("Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Oct, 215. A cottage in Devon street was destroyed by lire at 1.30 this morning; The tenant, H. Robertson, on being awakened. found the building filled with smoke. The back of the premises was in flames. He succeeded in getting out safely three voung children who were sleeping in their father's room. The cottage was owned by Mrs Campbell, and was insured in the Imperial office for £175. Robertson’s furniture was insured for £ 100 . .
