FOXTON TRAGEDY.
FUNERAL OF VICTIMS
(Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON, N., Oct, 26. The funeral of four of the victims ot the Foxton drowning tragedy, Mrs Robert and Mrs Grove and her two children, took place yesterday afternoon The town had been profoundly.affected by the tragic nature of the happening, and fully two thousand people assembled at the cemetery, while crowds lined the streets traversed by the two funeral processions. Flags were flown at halfmast from public buildings and business premises, and the profoundest sympathy is expressed on all sides with the bereaved families. Tlib ceremonies at tlio graveside were most affecting. Both were conducted bv the vicar, the Rev. H. G. Rosher. Many beautiful floral tributes were recived, andl messages of sympathy were received from all over the Dominion, .including messages from the Premier and the Hon. R. McKenzie and Hon. T. MacKenzie. No trace has yet been found of the bodies of Miss O’Sullivan and the two Robert children.
