THE FANNY’S MEN.

STILL MISSING. (Per Press Association.; NAPIER, Oct. 26

The steamer Fanny returned to port from Whangaehu last night. The captain reports that a long and careful search for the bodies of the four men drowned on Sunday proved fruitless. The Ruru, another of the same company’s vessels, assisted in the search, which was abandoned at ten o’clock yesterday morning, the captains of*the two steamers deciding that it was practically impossible to drag among the rocks' where the bodies are supposed to be. A look-out will still be keenly observed along the beach, and the Ruru will leave again to-night for the scene of the disaster.
