INCREASED CHARGES IN WELLINGTON. ,

WELLINGTON, October 27. From November Ist next a new tariff of cartage on all merchandise will come into operation. The city is divided into three radii, and rates have gone up to Is 3d per ton and Is 6d per toil, with wool 3d per bale and 4d per bale, according to the radius. The charges are not increased prices for horse-feed, and the presont wages and conditions of work, it is understood, are some causes of the advance, which is agreed to by thirteen city carrying ‘houses.
