THE BOARDER WHO LEFT.
CAUSES JEALOUS WOMAN COMMIT
CRIME
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 31. A woman was arrested this afternoon on a charge of breaking and entering a boardinghouse with intent to commit a crime. The facts_ are peculiar. The woman arrested is a boardinghousekeeper, and it is alleged that out of jealousy, through love of a boarder who left her establishment for another, she visited; the latter during the night and dashed pepper into the eyes of the cook of that establishment, whom she believed enticed the boarder away. The accused woman will appear before the Magistrate’s Court to-morrow.
