MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT' RESTORES POWER OF SPEECH TEMPORARILY TO A SUFFERER,
. Dumb since a severe illness in America last year Mrs MeCranor, of Clare, co. Down, suddenly recovered her speech when her husband’s motor car came into collision with another vehicle at Blackpool. When the accident occurred. Mrs McCranor, to the great astonishment of her husband, exclaimed to the colliding motorist, “You never blew your horn.” ►Since December, 1910, she has been unable to articulate a word, and Mr. McCranor’s delight, as may be imagined, when his wife thus spoke was beyond bounds, and he looked upon the mishap as being in the nature of a blessing in disguise. Unhappily, however. Mrs McCranor’s regained power of speech was speedily lost, and she has again lapsed into dumbness.
