SCHOOL CONCERT.
SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE AT OTOKO. There was a crowded attendance at the. Otoko Schoolbouse last night, when a. concert and dance was given in aid of the school funds. The building was nicely decorated for the occasion: by the pupils, under the direction of the teachers. The most- engocable items.of the evening were- those given by the- school children, who. performed most creditably, their singing, reciting, and acting reflecting great, credit mi the training they had received. The following programme was submitted : —Overture, Mr. Turner; limiting chorus, boys; tambourine drill, girls: recitation, "Mary Ann,” Miss Dolly Edwards; "Sister,” five boys and five girls ; "A Soldier’s Lite,” boys; song, "Tim O’Shea,” Master Edwards; Sweeping Brigade, girls; recitation, "Visitors.” Master Watson; Yawning Sung, bovs. A number of items were also given. i>y adults, and the concert proved a most enjoyable one. A dance followed, and was attended by a large l number, an excellent supper being supplied by the ladies of the district.
