PETITION' FOl!. RE-HEARING

A petition for re-hearing by the New So utli Wales Marine Court of the circumstances attending the collision between the Nera and the Taviuni has been presented to the Lieutenant-Go-vernor (Sir William Cullen) by the Merchant Service Guild, on behalf of Captain Beightcn, of the Taviuni. It will be recalled, the Marine Court, under the presidency of Judge Murray, suspended Captain Beighton’s certificate for a period of six months from the date of the accident.
