After four days’ discussion the conference of the executives of the four railwayinen’s unions resolved to ballot the railwayman as to whether they would accept the Railway Commission’s report, or strike in favor of recognition of all grades. The ballot is returnable on December sth. A resolution passed regrets that the Government failed to arrange a conference of directors, which in the opinion of. the Conference might have resulted in a satisfactory settlement of the trouble.
