IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behaJr by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows: — That lor the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000 authorised to be raised by the Cook County Council under the above-mentioned Act for meeting the levy made bv the Cook Charitable Aid Board for a new Hospital, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of One-Tv\enty-fourth of a Penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Cook, and that such Special Rate shall he an' annual recur-ring-rate during the currency of such loan, and he parable yearly on the first dav of Julv in each and every year during the currency of such loan. being a period of thirty-six and a halt years or until the loan- is fully paid off. the rate of interest to be 3| per cent. IN the matter of The Local Bodies’’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and their amendments, and _ in. the matter of the proposal of the Waiapu County Council to borrow a sum of £SOOO for'the purpose of building a bridge over the Waiapu River at Rotokautuku for the use of the inhabitants of the County of Waiapu. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £SOOO, the proposed security for and provision 'of repayment of the loan being a special rate of fths of a penny in the £ sterling upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property within the special district as denned in the schedule of properties attached hereto. The term of the loan is for 361 years, and the rate of interest 31 per centum per annum. It is not proposed to pay out- of the loan the cost of raising the loan c-r the interest for the first year.
