The undeniable attractiveness of the current programme at His Majesty s Theatre was answerable for another laro-e and appreciative audience last evening. The star item ‘‘The Railroad Raiders of ’62.” was received with hearty applause, the chase scene eyokino- ore at excitement. Each and every detail of the historic event, which took place during the American Civil Mar, is brought out with startling reality. Likewise “The Governor’s Daughter, “The Rival Engine-Drivers” and £ The Indian Brothers” also, came in for liberal commendation. A depiction that was highly appreciated was that entitled “Scenes in Madeira,” illustrating the rare beauty of the island wellknown as a recuperating place for invalids, and one of the most important wine-producing countries in the world. “The Swans” and “Trades in Bombay are equally pleasing and an imposing array of comic subjects impart an air of diversion to the series. The final presentation of the programme will be made this evening.
