WOOLBUYERS’ STRIKE.
TROUBLE AT WELLINGTON SALE
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 7. Trouble arose at the opening of the first local wool sales of the season at the Town Hall to-day with oversea buyers. Mr Hill, chairman of the Woolbuyers’ Association, asked if clause 2 of the conditions of sale was going to be interpreted as it had been for the past 20 years.' Mr. Waterhouse, chairman of the Wellington Brokers’ Association, said no. The buyers then rose and left the rooim Buying proceeded, being confined to New Zealand buyers. NAPIER SALE POSTPONED. NAPIER, Nov. 7. In view of the trouble at the Wellington wool sales, and the withdrawal of the oversea buyers, the Napier brokers have decided to postpone the wool sales, fixed for Thursday, till November 29 th.' _____
