H.B. LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING
(SPECIAL TO TIMES 4 NAPIER, Nov. 10. The monthly meeting of the Hawke’s Rav Land Board was held this morning, Mr C. R. Pollen (Commissioner of Crown Lands) being in the chair. Transfers were approved as under: G. E. Little to A. Scluerning and L. J. Barnard, sections 125 and 9, blocks 5 and 7, Motu, and section 16 block 3 Mot 11. '• r „ , ~ E V. Taylor to H. B. Taylor, section 7 block 14, Opoiti. Clydebank settlement, the freehold. A. Schierning and L. T. Burnard applied to acquire the freehold of sections 1,2, 5 and 9, blocks 5 and 7. Motu, and also section 16. block 3, Motu. Granted. The Crown land ranger reported that there were 28 holdings in the Waiapu settlement, and 20 souls residing thereon. Nine had been defaulters as regards residence. The improvements required were £17,994 4s sd, and thoseeffected £74,471 15s. G. W. Martin applied to surrender section 29 block p, Turanganui, Te Arai settlement. —Surrender accepted and the section to be offered for selection. Tv. C. Wilson applied for the lease of section 2, block 3, Hangaroa Accommodation reserve. —Granted, subject to requirements being fulfilled. J. Monckton applied for the lease of 488 acres at Mangapoike for a* term of three years with right of renewal. — Approved.
