BOWLING.
TURANGANUI CLUB. An enjoyable afternoon's play was indulged in by the members of th'e Turanganui Club on Saturday afternoon. The ground was in good order, and played well. —Bennett Cup.— Entries closed on Saturday afternoon for the Bennett Cup, with 20 entrants. The players are to play each other, the first round being the only draw. The competition must be completed by March 31st, 1912. The first round, which is to be completed by Saturday, November 25th, has been drawn as follows: F. Gray v. J. B. Leydon. W. Hay v. C. Taylor. A. Wallace v. M. A. Neill. W. Howard v. T. McConnell. D. Barry v. M. G. Nasmith, jun. R. Robertson v. W. Paltridge. S. Earle v. B. Hird. S. Wootton ,v. W. Bruce. A. Sawyer v. R. Thelwall. C. J. Bennett v. J. J. Martin. —Hird Pairs.— Entries for the handicap pairs for the bowling shoes presented by Mr. B. Hird close on Thursday next, at 10 a.m.. on the green.
