WATER SIDE TROUBLE SETTLED

The difficulty between the Union Go. and the Waterside Workers Union in reference to the removal of one of the Company’s foremen, has been settled, the Company having acceded to the demand of the Union. NATIVE LAND COURT RECORD. , ROTORUA, Nov. 19. ■ A record l for any Native Land Court ini New Zealand was put up by the local Court under Judge Brown, 166 or-dex-s of partition being put through in six weeks.

At a meeting of the Miastertom Chamber of Commerce a letter was read from the Woodville Chamber, asking for an expression of opinion as to the effect of no-lioense upon the business of the town. It was decided to reply that as members of the Chamber hold divergent views on the subject it was not , desirable, that the question should) be discussed’.
