VERDICT FOR THE DEFENDANT.

The claim for £2OOO brought by Mr Meagher, chairman of committees in the New South Wales Assembly, against Colonel Onslow, a member of the Assembly, for alleged libel during tlie election campaign, has been concluded, the verdict going for the defendant.
