THE GLEBE MURDER.
A LAD OF 19 ARRESTED. CHARGED WITH THE CRIMEFINGER PRINTS TAKEN(United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received Nov. 23, 12.15 -a.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 22. Acting on instructions from Sydney the police and detectives arrested Campbell Moil-, a dentist’s assistant, aged nineteen, ’and charged him with murdering Trevascus .at Glebe. The detectives learned that a young man answering to the published description of the stranger visited the murdered man had applied at a dentist’s for employment. They went to Essendon where they discovered' Moir living in a furnished room with his wife.
Finger prints have been' taken for comparison with those found in Trevaseus’s room. CLEVER POLICE WORK. AN IMPORTANT FACTOR DISCOVERED. (Received Nov. 23, 1.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 22. Moir, who was recently married, left Sydney with his wife on the Sunday after Trevascus was murdered. He was living in Melbourne under the name of Carmichael. The Sydney police obtained specimens of his handwriting, which it is stated compares with that in the letter addressed to Trevascus from Penrith, stating he would call.
