TROOPER USES JU-JITSU.
CAKIUIOV MAM A MILE AND A-HALF.'
The value of ju-jitsu for other purposes than the paralysing of an antagonist’s thirteenth nerve or the indentation of his eyeball was illustrated atSpringwood (New .South Wales), a day or two ago. when Trooper Lottos utilised the method as a means for arresting an intoxicated man. The trooper was at Valiev Heights, a mile and alialf from the police station, and there lie found a man so .drunk that he was unable to walk. The officer slung the inebriated ixwson on his back, and earned him all the way to the lockup. The trooper is only l ist 61b, and his piisoner was of about the same weight, so that as a weight-carrying effort the officer has surely established something in the nature of a record.
