THE GLEBE MURDER.
INQUEST PROCEEDING. SOME STARTLING EVIDENCE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received November 30, 9.5 p.rn.) SYDNEY, Nov. .30 The inquest on Trevascus, rnur.bred at the Glebe, has been resumed, t!;o evidence being largely recapitulatory. Miss Lev}’, employed in the same building in which Trevascus lived identified Moir as the man who called on the morning of the murder and went upstairs to see Trevascus. After hearing a heavy thud upstairs, like someone falling, Moir came down twice and borrowed a paper from her, going upstairs again. He appeared excited, and was trembling. Detective Walker deposed that after bis arrest Moir admitted writing the letter found in Trevascus’s room, and added lie was sorry for'his mother, who would not live through it. He knew what the detectives wanted, he "aid. and ooukl have got away, but decided to face it.
Another witness, at whose house at Emu Plains Moir stayed, stated that ho missed the plough-coulter after Moir had gone. Evidence was given of Trevascus drawing £SO from the bank on October 30.
Inspector Childs, of the Finger Print Detective branch, gave evidence that the bloody finger print on the envelope posted on Trevascus’ door, stating he bad gone away, was identical with Moir’s left index finger. ’The inquest was adjourned.
