ORDINARY MEETING. (.special to Times.] NAPIER, Nov. 30. The Education -Board met to-day, loavo of absence being granted Gisborne, members. 'idle roof of Ormond School is to be strengthened at ia cost of £l3 10s. Mr E. Mcßean -was appointed headmaster at Matawai school, and Miss J. Cooke, To Hapara. was granted eight months leave without pay. Makauri’s offer of £3O towards the cost of additional area for recreation purposes was held over. Tologa Bay was granted a subsidy of £ for £ towards the cost of asphalting. Folding doors are to be placed in the new building at Te Hapara. The Waercnga-a-hika conveniences are to be repaired, and desks supplied, if Inspector thinks necessary. The Makanri Committee are to supply the School with 1 blinds at their own expense. It was decided to purchase the additional land required at Mangapapa at the price asked by Mrs AVeir.
