The Union Co.’s Tarawera arrived in Lie roadstead from Napier at an early hour on Saturday morning, and proceeded to Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay. after being tendered at the usual hours. The Union Co/s Squall arrived on Saturday morning from Limestone Island, bringing a cargo of cement. The steamer left for Auckland direct at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, and is expected to leave Auckland for Coast ports and Gisborne this evening. .. . , The Union Co.’s Uauniri i - at present engaged in working East Coast ports from Auckland, and is'due here to-day or tomorrow. She proceeds south after working this port. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo arrived here yesterday morning, after a three weeks’ passage. She was delayed for a considerable time in the Bay of Plenty by the westerly winds so prevalent of late, ml was 14 days in working the usual ports there. Leaving Hick’s Bay on Sunday. 22nd November, she had some difficulty in working Coast ports, and reached here as stated above. Her cargo includes the followinglo tons general merchandise. 30 tons of coal, 300 cases bottles, iOOOft. of timber, and about 30 hales of wool. She is expected to get away on the : -rum passage to Auckland on Y\ ednesdav or Thursday. The Union Co.’s cargo steamer Kowhai : ; - due to clear Dunedin on Wednesday j j.'-xf for Gisborne, via the «sual ports. | The Union Co.’s Monowai. which left | Auckland at 1 p.m. on Saturday, had a: fuir weather passage down the coast.
