RUSSIAN ULTIMATUM REJECTED.
A RENEWED CRISIS.
HOSTILITIES IMMINENT.
(United Press Association—Com l right.) TEHERAN, Dec. 1. Russia lias declined to extend the time limit. The Mejliss Assembly rejected the ultimatum, although Sir Edward Grey urgently telegraphed, advising them to comply. Thereupon the Russian troops at Resht were ordered to advance on Teheran.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has resigned. Three men, firing seven shots, killed Alar-ed Dowleh, ex-Governor of Faro, as he was leaving his residence at Teheran. Ala was suspected of intriguing with Sipahdar for tlie ex-Shah’s return.
LONDON, Dec. 1
The House of Commons has received Lord Lamington’s Persian committee owing to the renewed crisis. A BOMB PLOT DISCOVERED.
TO ASSASSINATE MR SHUSTER. (Received December 3, 5.5 p.m.) TEHERAN, Dec. 2. A bomb plot agjainst Mr Sinister has been discovered. 'A prisoner alleges that. M. Petroff, Russian Vice-Consul, bribed him in July to assassinate Mr Shuster.
